Whiskers lake is very weedy, and quite tight.

Fished Rio at the weekend, had a 12lb cat first chuck on hallibut boilies, my brother had a 11lb cat too. Only 1 other guy fishing the lake and he also had a scrapper double moggie !!

Just wondering if your fishing at Northey Park, why your fishing for cats in Rio. I know there are some in there, but why not fish in the actual cat lake? Ive fished there a few times for cats in that cat lake: didnt have a lot, but got a few. Hallibut pelllets seemed to be the bait to use.

Near Peterborough,Cambs. PE6 7YZ. 7 lakes in total, Rio is the best all rounder, good head of carp and quite a few good cats to 30lb. There is a lake called "whiskers" but this suffers from weed and is quite difficult to fish. Elliott is the owner on .... 01733 558329

Maxey is the other catfish water near Peterborough. This is abot 80+ acres of gravel pit water with 10 cats stocked back in the 70's. best know fish is 34lb in 2004. Syndicate water only.

Hi after some decent catsat my local water, Northey park. Just wondering if anyone has caught a cat in the Rio lake, because I seriously doubt that they are that many in there, I dont want to waste time trying if they are not present in any number or sizes. I have fished the place for a long time, but have only seen 1 cat out, the owner is notoriously grumpy and its hard to squeeze any info out of him. All suggestions welcome, cheers, dan.
